It has been estimated that there are approximately 400 years worth of coal to be harvested in the State of Wyoming alone. Our planet is already teetering on the brink of an ecological collapse with global warming being just the proverbial tip of the ice burg and our lives the Titanic that is about to crash and sink because of it.
Many people do not consider water vapor as a true greenhouse gas although it is present in larger concentrations than any other. However, water vapor concentrations fluctuate widely from 33 – 60% as we would expect when you consider that water is constantly being recycled through the processes of evaporation and condensation of our planets weather systems.
Some people profiteered from the spill by charging BP outrageous rates for cleanup. Others profited from BP claims money, handed out in arbitrary ways. So many people cashed in that they earned nicknames — “spillionaires” or “BP rich.” Meanwhile, others hurt by the spill ended up getting comparatively little.
Yes, it will be costly. Yes it will mean turning away from carbon fuels for power generation and yes it is true that there is no middle ground, there is no perhaps or maybe. This is something that purely MUST begin now because the inconvenient truth also happens to be that if we do not there won’t be much of a future for our generations to come to live in.
Have we not yet experienced enough death and suffering from the hands of the greedy oil industry who so obviously does not wish to keep their employees or our wild life not to mention the livelihoods of our citizens of the gulf safe?
These GOP members of Congress quite obviously do not care about the well being or health of our coastal waters or the people who live and work there given their irresponsible promotions offered on behalf of these oil companies who offered their praises to Louisiana politicians for their efforts.
Technologies in Wind and Solar energies have been continually advancing and despite what you may have heard about their abilities to take over major percentages of provided power to our national grids at some far off period in time we could do this much sooner if only this political garbage that is being made to block our path by people like the Koch brothers were swept away.
