Empowering Green Energy Change

Solar energy systems are a very novel energy generation source but that is not to say they should be purchased from a novelty store outlet that specializes in cheap price points for very inefficient novelty systems.

However, there is much they do not inform you of with regards to these systems to include state energy regulations, what the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners has to say about them or anything relating to the materials their plans suggest you use.

Solar energy systems have been in use for more than 2 decades by national governments, ecologically minded individuals and those seeking a more cost effective means of generating electricity and heating water through solar photovoltaic and thermal systems.

It is true that as a homeowner you can do whatever you like to your property because after all it is YOUR property but when it comes to what your property is connected too outside of its boundaries then this is where utility companies and building inspectors draw the line.

The development of solar electric generation stations have been an integral part of any remote power requirement for scada systems, telecommunications transmission sites, and a wide range of government sites.
The majority of photovoltaic solar panel systems are generally configured as grid-tie systems which while they allow the home to use the energy generated they will also send any energy which the home cannot use back onto your local electrical grid through a net meter.

To understand this devices purpose it is important to understand how solar modules are wired and configured in your overall system. Solar modules are wired in what is known as strings and larger solar panel systems will have multiple strings.
The most common question I am asked regarding solar panel system sizing would be, “How big is an X kw solar panel system?” Solar modules are generally mounted and wired in what is known as a series configuration or daisy chain. This means that the wattage value of each panel is mathematically added together so if you have a 1kw solar panel system then that would mean all the individual solar modules when their wattage is added together equals 1000 watts or 1 kw. How much does a 1kw solar panel system generate in power per day?

Of these 3 types of systems the Mono Crystalline offers the highest power outputs per square foot of solar installed.

However, even fixtures such as Low Sodium which operate at a fraction of the cost of their mega-power HID cousins are dwarfed in savings when compared to some of the newer technologies such as that found with Solar Powered Inductive Street Lighting systems that are made in the USA.
